Each week we like to spotlight one of the incredible female athletes that make up our team. Today we are highlighting Mandy! Mandy works for a large helicopter company on the development team. Her job is to target new work for the aircrafts and develop the business.  She primarily works from home and travels every month or so for meetings etc. Mandy is also a single mom to her two-year-old daughter Remy. She has been attending our Ladies Lift classes and works with primary coach, Hillary!

 


 

 

A Little About Her

I’m an avid hiker, traveller, podcast and audible enthusiast, coffee crafter, music lover, pilot, introvert, foodie, apostate, bath soaker, & champagne sipper. Also, I love big sunglasses. Obviously.

 

What Brought Her to Fitbliss

I had such a great community of women in Alaska who I lifted and adventured with for several years. When I moved back to Utah a couple of years ago, I fumbled around different gyms and studios looking for that same vibe and community I had up there. When I finally found Fitbliss, it was an instant fit!

 

Favorite Lift

Deadlift – I feel like it is the lift that I understand the best. I’ve seen a ton of progress with my deadlift since starting with Fitbliss and that has been really fun.

 

Someone Who Inspires Her

This changes all the time. I’m watching the Serena Williams HBO documentary right now, so she is my current muse. What a woman!  Also, when Coach Hillary deadlifts, that’s pretty inspiring.. <3

 

What She Has Accomplished Since Starting With Fitbliss

I am absolutely building a healthier relationship with food. I’m having success with fat loss and strength etc., but the improvement in my approach and mindset around food feels like the most significant shift.

 

Favorite Macro-Friendly Food

I put Vital Proteins Collagen in basically everything.

Other favs include Kodiak Cakes and SOUP!  I make a lot of soup. Skinny Taste Chicken Enchilada soup is a go to for sure.

 

Biggest Takeaway From Working With Team Fitbliss

That I can do anything I put my mind to. I think it’s important for women to lift weights because they can achieve what they want and become more confident!

 

An Obstacle She Has Overcome

I’m a single mom. This season of my life feels pretty demanding, but every day we do it. And then we wake up the next day and do it again. And 3-4 days a week I even get a work out in. They say strong women raise strong women. That’s what I’m going for.

Upcoming Goals

My goal right now is to remain consistent and be patient with progress. I’m not in any hurry to attain a certain level of strength, specific pants size, weight or any of that. My goal is to stay consistent simply because what I am doing feels good for my mind and my body.
