WOMAN OF THE WEEK
A little about her
I’ve been a hairstylist for almost 10 years and spend a lot of my time at work making people look their best! We spend most of our summers up at Flaming Gorge, it’s been my second home since I was a baby! Fishing and lifting and spending time with my family and my two cats are my favorite things!
What brought her to Team Fitbliss
A few years ago I had a client/friend that is actually an incredible coach now who mentioned Fitbliss and how amazing it was and it probably took me another year to actually start! I have no idea where I would be without it! Probably stuck at Lifetime doing the same stuff every week!
Her favorite lift
This is a hard question because I think I love them all and really it’s so different everyday! But if I had to pick one it would probably be bench. I also really love the deadlift because it’s been the lift that just keeps getting stronger and is fast!
Ever since I started lifting 5 years ago, I’ve felt more confident in myself and nothing is better than feeling strong and being able to prove people wrong, I’ve also noticed my instagram switching over to strong empowering women rather than just thin models who maybe pick up a 5lb weight, it’s been better for me mentally to realize that every body is beautiful and so strong.
Someone who inspires her
Luckily I’m surrounded by a ton of people who inspire me! But my first choice would be my bestie and swole mate Sierra! She makes me a better person everyday! And all the coaches and woman I get to train with everyday!
What she has accomplished since joining our team
I have gotten so much stronger! Before Fitbliss, I was just weight lifting and not really pushing myself and the team has helped with that and has made me want to improve even more! Also pushing myself out of my comfort zone with competing in meets! They still feel a little scary, but are so fun!
Her favorite macro-friendly food
Tacos or burgers!! There are so many options for tortilla/buns that can be super macro friendly.
A struggle along the way
At the moment, being pregnant has been a bit of a struggle, it’s not something I was sure I wanted but I know will be an amazing opportunity. I had this fear I would have to give up lifting as well as my goals and body with a pregnancy. But Fitbliss has proved me wrong so many times! And right now I still continue to lift and it makes me even more excited about my goals.
Biggest takeaway from working with Team Fitbliss
Getting strong AF takes time and patience. You can’t always PR each month-but there are so many other types of PRs I’m making right now besides just the weight I pick up! For example right now being pregnant, I’m lifting beltless, which is something I never thought I’d do!
Getting this babe out safe and sound while also maintaining my muscle and strength throughout the rest of this pregnancy and after!
