Each week we like to spotlight one of the incredible female athletes that make up our team. Today we are highlighting Brittany! Brittany is a stay at home mom with 3 kids! She is currently following one of our online training programs and working with Coach Natalie!

A Little About Her

In my spare time I enjoy being with my family and friends. I am always searching for the latest activity to do. I love to be active and enjoy rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding and being outdoors.  I also love reading.

What Brought Her to Fitbliss

I have been lifting for over 14 years! When I started, there was such an absence of woman who were weightlifting. I remember being incredibly intimidated. I joined because of what it means to be a woman lifter and the confidence it brings to myself and others. I also needed help with technique for the bigger lifts and general accountability when it comes to nutrition. It was time to stretch my abilities.

Favorite Lift

This is so hard. I really love all lifts. I am loving squatting. I am seeing some great progress.

Someone Who Inspires Her

Ruth Bader Ginsberg. Not only has she been such an instrumental voice in championing woman, but she also understands the value of taking care of her body. She has a personal trainer who helps her to stay physically fit. She is determined to keep her mind and body healthy and active.

What She Has Accomplished Since Starting With Fitbliss

Being more consistent with my nutrition. I have the tendency to relax on the weekends, and now I am pretty fairly consistent in making sure that I meet my macros.

Favorite Macro-Friendly Food

I am such a foodie so I really try to fit all types of food I love into my life. I am a firm believer that I can make anything I want/crave fit into my macros. For a quick snack that’s high in protein, I love rolling a piece of string cheese in between deli meat.

Biggest Takeaway From Working With Team Fitbliss

I often would get into a rut in my workouts. I wouldn’t necessarily mx up the routine that I had been doing and obviously, progress would stall. I have learned how important it is to really mix up the type of lifts, the speed, intensity, etc.

An Obstacle She Has Overcome

Understanding that progress takes time!

Upcoming Goals

I would love to finish out this lean phase strong. I am really determined to see what progress I have made in my body composition. After that I would love to work on my strength. I feel like I broke some plateaus over the last couple of months with my numbers. Right now, I am enjoying the fact that I feel leaner while I am still maintaining my strength.
