Bailee Shillington

A little about her

I am an Airman in the United States Air Force.  I am a Weapons Expediter/Armament Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge. I started out loading munitions on the F-16 Fighting Falcon but the F-35 replaced the Falcon. Now I manage the equipment used to load the munitions on F-35s.  I love to to spend time with my little men,  Akoni who is 11 and Keanu who is 7, and to workout.

Her favorite lift

I love both the leg press and hip thrust. I realized that the leg press is quad focused and doing it more regularly has started giving my thighs some noticeable curve which I love! I never did hip thrusts until I linked up with Chantel and let me tell you-this chick has always had hips but actually seeing these bad ladies is pretty sexy! Both have yielded amazing results for me!

 

SOMEONE WHO INSPIRES HER

I have many individuals that inspire me for different reasons.  But when it comes to fitness my friend Sofia Ruiz inspires me. I feel like we have both had some of the same struggles and it has been nice to have her support. Seeing her go from competing to her off season reminds me as a single mom that I can make it work and that it is possible. Chantel, my coach also does the same because she believes in me! Her guidance, understanding, and actions have kept me accountable she is very much encouraging.  Chantel is so much more than just a coach! These two ladies are my inspiration and definitely make me keep pushing to achieve things I never thought I could.

 

What she has accomplished since joining our team

I have accomplished so many things but the biggest thing I have accomplished would have to be using correct form in the gym and knowing the importance of it.

 

Her favorite macro-friendly food

My favorite macro-friendly food is some protein oatmeal that my coach created. It is so delicious even my kids love it. You can find it on her instagram @hushfitness!

  

A struggle along the way

 Accepting when my body says to chill out and accepting that life sometimes has other plans than what we have for ourselves.  I am also very hard on myself so I am working on this! 

Biggest takeaway from working with Team Fitbliss

How mind and muscle play a huge role in my overall progress/results.

 

Upcoming goals

 I would love to lose more fat and gain more muscle to achieve an overall fit/defined look from head to toe.  But more-so I hope to gain more knowledge about my body, my muscles, and bettering my form. I always want to improve because there will always be room for improvement.
