NPC Fit Model Division

NPC Bikini

The NPC has introduced a new division to its lineup: Fit Model. If you’ve been considering stepping on stage but aren’t sure which category suits you best, this guide will help you understand what the division is all about and how it compares to the popular Bikini division.

What is the NPC Fit Model Division?

The Fit Model division is designed for women who want to showcase a balanced, athletic physique with a softer, more mainstream fitness look. Unlike other divisions that emphasize muscle separation and extreme conditioning, Fit Model celebrates a toned and sculpted body without excessive leanness or definition. If you’ve ever dreamed of looking like a cover model for a fitness magazine, this could be the perfect division for you!

Key Differences in Fit Model and Bikini

While these divisions share similarities, there are distinct differences that set them apart:

Suit and Presentation Guidelines

One of the biggest differences in Fit Model is the competition suit. Unlike Bikini, which allows rhinestones and connectors, suits must be:

  • A single solid color (Spandex or Metallic fabric only)
  • Free of bling (No rhinestones, sequins, or beads)
  • Moderate coverage in the front and 50% coverage in the back
  • No ties or connectors
  • High heels and jewelry are allowed

Posing Expectations

  • Front Pose: One leg slightly in front, hips tilted, upper and lower body balanced.
  • Back Pose: Same as Bikini, but with softer glute definition (no visible hamstring tie-in).
  • Presentation: Judges are looking for grace, poise, and a runway-style presence on stage.

Is Fit Model Right for You?

This division is a great option for competitors who:

  • Prefer a more natural, mainstream fitness look
  • Don’t want to achieve extreme levels of leanness
  • Love the idea of a runway-style presentation
  • Want to showcase a balanced, elegant physique

If you’re new to the competition scene and looking for a category that celebrates a fit but approachable aesthetic, Fit Model may be the perfect fit! Regardless which division you choose, the most important thing is that it aligns with your personal goals and body type.
