At the young age of six years old, Natalie picked up her first dumbbell. Since then, she’s made fitness, lifting and having an active lifestyle a top priority in her life. Starting with her athletic background in competitive gymnastics (12 years), collegiate cheerleading (3 years, University of Utah) and professional cheerleading (4 years, Utah Jazz), she fell in love with the power of body transformation through exercise and resistance training.
After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications with a minor in nutrition from the University of Utah, Natalie began her professional career working in the health industry (2008 – present). Yearning to stay fit and competitive, she was drawn to the stage. Natalie dabbled in NGA bikini shows, while juggling her career and various life events. After having her first child (2013), she wanted to “bounce back” quickly and get serious about competing, so she hired a coach (not Fitbliss) to do her first NPC bikini competition. Unfortunately, Natalie learned a hard lesson, that all training is not created equal. She became severely ill from a combination of extreme, prolonged dieting and excessive physical activity. It took nearly a year to recover, and when she did, she had only two things in mind: be strong and be healthy.
Natalie began powerlifting, and a year later, she discovered Fitbliss. She was shocked to find so many powerful strong women part of a group that exemplified health and strength. She closed the door on restrictive dieting and embraced the blessings of a flexible dieting lifestyle.
Natalie powerlifted through her entire second pregnancy, squatting 150 for reps the day before she delivered. She currently holds current state records for squat, bench and deadlift for her weight class. Natalie is an excellent example of what can be achieved when you have a healthy relationship with food, build strength and stay successful with achieving weight loss goals.
Natalie resides in Saint George, Utah with her husband and two children. She offers online coaching and one on one sessions by appointment in her at-home gym in southern Utah.
She is currently attending school to receive a Master of Science in Sports and Conditioning Performance – a unique program that will fine-tune her career as a fitness professional. This degree is unique as it offers clinical training focusing on safe and effective conditioning techniques.
